Summer So Soon

It's true... summer is just around the corner...and with that comes so many great things! BBQ's, sunshine, flipflops, sleeping with the window open, yadeeda.

Here's what's in store for our summer/fall:

1) Sam will be done with classes on campus.... yipee!!
2) We're MOVING! To......we don't know yet. Anywhere but here pretty much.
3) Zaden has his surgery on the 19th on June.... we would love your prayers :)
4) Sam's bday in July....turning the big two seven!
5) Sam starting a job (crossing our fingers that something will work out.....no news yet.)
6) Enjoying every second with little man who is growing SO fast! 85th percentile for height, 10-15th percentile for weight... he's no fatty :)...even though his face looks chubby....
7) Welcoming 4 new babies to the family from Marcelle, Shelly, and Shyanne with twins!
8) Figuring out how this cute little man of ours can be partly bald and have crazy hair all at the same time...

9) And of course....just loving life!!!!

May Happenings

I love the month of May...for many reasons. 1) it's my birthday month. I'm officially 25....quarter of a century. Yikes. 2) There are cool days in May...e.g. May Day, Cinco de Mayo, Memorial Day 3) My parent's wedding anniversary is in May. I'm so glad they met and got married so that I could exist. :)

4) Zaden turned 6 months old today. SIX MONTHS?! Dah. Time. It escapes the best of us. 

Little man is so much fun! He's growing like a weed and getting chubbier by the minute. He desperately wants to sit up on his own (he does ab crunches on his back to try and sit up...he must have a 6-pack hiding somewhere by now). He looooves sweet potatoes (yuck) and still loves chewing on his toes. His gums are getting harder and harder by the day and his gnawing is getting more fierce....I wonder when those first teeth will make their appearance.

He's starting to take longer naps (yay!!!) which makes both of us happier. 

He loves playing with daddy, being tickled, and being outside.

Being a parent is so much fun and we love our growing little man to pieces!!!

Sunday Stylin'

Zaden loves church...most of the time. Today he was talking up a storm during Sunday School so much that I couldn't even hear myself read a scripture out loud! He was sporting his Sunday style today, white collared shirt (a must) black pin-striped slacks, and of course shiny black shoes. Oh and don't forget a super part on his going-bald-receding-hair-lined head (but of course we love it). To top it off, he added his favorite accessory: a pool of drool on his chin to complete his awesome look.

Cinco months

Little man is now 5 months old...and getting chunky! His double and sometimes triple chins just crack me up! He is so much fun and has a very entertaining personality. He still drools as much as ever and loves to chew his fingers and toes. Tasty.
He's sleeping a little better now that we took away the pacifier, swaddle, and moved him to his own crib in his own room. He's falling asleep on his own (with a little fussing) which is a HUGE improvement since a while ago he was relying on us rocking him to sleep with a pacifier...and us replacing it a million times a night. No bueno.

He is so fun and smiley and we just love him to pieces!!!

Mmmmmm

Pretty sure we have a funny kid. He loves REAL things more than his colorful toys. If I'm holding a bottle of lotion, he'd rather grab that and lick/chew it than his cute toys.

A Jamba smoothie is no exception.

 

What can I say.....our kiddo can't wait for summer either.

Morgan the 'Mazing

So, I have one brother. His name is Morgan.
The end.



Just kidding. My brother is AWESOME!!!! I could talk about him all.day.long.

 

Look at this guy. Seriously. You can tell how awesome he is just by looking at his face.

So. Morgan. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful brother. Currently he is at BYU and was accepted into the competitive Advertising program (no surprise, he's super smartie). He's in the BYU Men's Chorus and is in charge of making the new "look" for them (check out their snazzy website here .

Here are just a few things about my brother that I love:

1) He loves sugar. So do I. We both have a major sweet tooth. He also loves popcorn. Ask him about the time he ate 7 bowls of popcorn...and what happened after.

 

2) He has a great sense of style and he OWNS it.

 

3) He's a terrific singer, no joke. 

 

 4) He went to Jerusalem on a study abroad last year...how cool is that?

 

5) He served a full time mission and learned the trendy language of Hmong. 

 

 6) He makes me laugh every time I talk to him.....HILARIOUS sense of humor.

 

7) He's always nice to EVERYONE and makes friends easily.

 

8) He's always supported me in the things that are important to me.

 

As you can see, Morgan is just uh-mazing. He is the best brother EVER and I love him oodles and oodles! If you don't know him very well, you are definitely missing out on knowing one of the world's greatest guys!
